Donate to Support First Nations Literacy

Your support can change lives.

Low literacy affects every aspect of life, from reading a medication label to helping children with homework.

Unfortunately, as a result of ongoing disadvantage, between 40-70% of Aboriginal adults have low levels of English language literacy. In some remote locations it can be as high as 90%.

The good news is you can help communities across the country to turn things around.

Making a $50 donation can help provide up to 1 hour of locally-led adult literacy teaching in First Nations communities.

We are a First Nations organisation supporting adults like Clarrie to improve reading, writing and digital literacy skills through grassroots, community-led education.

Over 500 Aboriginal adults have already improved their literacy through training.

Please make a donation to support lifting adult literacy rates in First Nations communities.

NOTE: Do you prefer to use PayPal to make your monthly donation? Unfortunately our donation form does not currently allow monthly donations via PayPal. However, you can still set up a monthly donation using PayPal by visiting PayPal directly.

Literacy for Life Foundation is a First Nations organisation supporting adults to improve reading, writing and digital skills through grassroots, community-led education since 2013. Results undergo regular independent evaluation, carried out by organisations including the University of New South Wales and the University of New England. So far more than 500 students have participated in community-led classes.
