Congratulations to Lowitja Institute Chairperson, Ms Pat Anderson AO, who received a 2014 Elders Award in recognition of her contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander higher education.
The award, made by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Higher Education Advisory Council, recognises those individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the higher education of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over a significant period of time.
The award recognises Pat’s outstanding work at the University of Canberra, her work with staff and students as an Elder in Residence and her contributions to local Elders groups and communities locally, nationally and internationally.
