Position title: Campaign Project Officer
Position Location: Kempsey
Employment Load: Full time; 18-month contract position, extension possible
Reports to: NSW Regional Lead
Direct Reports: Campaign Coordinator, Literacy Facilitators, Survey Workers, Campaign Assistant
Salary range: $85,000 – 90,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation and salary packaging
Benefits: 5 weeks annual leave, 6 x RDOs per year, concessional Christmas shutdown leave*, phone allowance
Position Brief
The Campaign Project Officer will be responsible for the project management and administration of the Campaign. They will recruit, build capacity, and manage the local Campaign staff. They will also ensure community leaders and representatives are involved in making decisions that drive Campaign delivery.

You will be skilled at working with the unique strengths and challenges of a community and have experience building a supportive, positive work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
· Plan and organise the Campaign, including literacy classes.
· Use community-based approaches to build and grow the Campaign.
· Work alongside the Aboriginal community to ensure the Campaign is driven by and works towards community goals.
· Build a network of support for the Campaign, including community groups, government, service providers, and businesses.
· Recruit and build capacity of local Aboriginal staff so they have skills and knowledge to deliver the Campaign and improve literacy outcomes.
· Support the team to deliver literacy classes and improve literacy outcomes.
· Provide timely and accurate reporting of Campaign data and progress updates.
· Perform other reasonable tasks as required by the NSW Lead.
Selection Criteria
Essential
1. Experience in adult education, community development and/or language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy (LLND) training with relevant tertiary qualification in one of these areas or equivalent.
2. Sound administrative, communication, and project management skills.
3. Current driver license.
4. A current National Police Check (NPC) and NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC), or the ability to successfully obtain both prior to commencement.
Desirable
1. Experience working with First Nations people.
2. Experience managing a small team.
3. Experience working for a community development or not-for-profit organisation.
