Info Day in Kempsey

March 4th, 2026

‘Reading and writing with our mob in Kempsey.’ The sign says it all!

It was great to celebrate info day at the new Literacy for Life Foundation Kempsey Campaign last week.

Facilitator, Graham (left), welcomed everyone to the info day, ‘The Dunghutti people have walked and lived on this Country for thousands of years. Our connection to this land is unbroken, it holds our dreaming, our language, our kinship, and our identity,’ Graham said.

Kempsey Coordinator, Anna, introduced the team and thanked everyone for everything they‘ve already done to help the literacy Campaign start from strength.

Thank you for being part of lifting literacy.

Literacy for Life Foundation is an Aboriginal organisation that coordinates community-led adult literacy training. The Foundation’s results are at least 30 times better than comparable programs. We rely on donations from the community as well as funding from governments. The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) First Nations Program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
