Between 40 - 70% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults have low literacy. In some communities this can be as high as 90%.

As an Aboriginal-led charity, we give Aboriginal adults a second chance at the education they missed out on. We do this by training local people to deliver literacy classes in their own communities.
Lifting literacy leads to better outcomes in health, children’s education, employment, justice and supports greater self-determination.
