In My Own Words Film

 In My Own Words is an uplifting documentary on the work of the Literacy for Life Foundation, directed by award-winning filmmaker Erica Glynn.

It is told through the voices of local community members in the small New South Wales town of Brewarrina as they learn to read and write with Literacy for Life Foundation.

The film won the national category of Best Documentary Programme (2018) at the Asian Academy Creative Awards and was nominated for a prestigious 2017 AACTA Award (Best Documentary Television Production). It premiered at the 2017 Sydney Film Festival, receiving critical acclaim.

The film has previously screened on SBS and NITV.
